Every verb has four forms namely -- (simple present, simple past, past participle, present participle). See below some examples :

    drive (simple present)
    driving (present participle)
    drove (simple past)
    driven (past participle)

    mark (simple present)
    marking (present participle)
    marked (simple past)
    marked (past participle)
[note : some verbs have same form for both (simple past and past participle)]

    read (simple present)
    reading (present participle)
    read (simple past)
    read (past participle)
[note : some verbs have same form for all four forms of verb]
