Hi

How much fruit do you eat on an average week?
I know that the noun "fruit" has the same form in the plural, but is there any chance to use this word with the quantifier "many"?
Can I say "many fruits" when referring to varieties or kinds of fruit?

Thank you.

fruits is the plural form
How many fruits do you eat?
How much fruit do you eat?
Both are okay, to my mind.

Hi Svartnik

This noun -fruit- has a zero plural, i.e. "fruit" . When talking about varieties of fruit ,we can use "fruits".
e.g. There is one fruit on the table.
There are two fruit on the table.
There are some other nouns with zero plural, as well :sheep, deer, trout, carp, etc.

My question is :
Can I say :How many fruits [ that is , apples, pears, nuts, etc.] do you usually eat a/per month?

Thanks

'Fruit' can also have the plural form 'fruits'.

Some ‘fruit’ and ‘fruits’

This'll help.
