    Unhappy I am confused

    Erm my english standards are below average and i am reading a book from reader digest..it came to me that i did not understand most of word..so should i look it up in the dictionary or just continue reading???

    Welcome, DarkernX.

    You may want to consider finding an article or book that meets your level. The rule of thumb here is to be able to understand at least 65% to 70% of what you are reading, and a major chunk of that percentage is contextual, figuring out the meaning of a word based on the words and/or sentences around it. You shouldn't be flipping through the dictionary every other word or so.

    My advice to you is to find a graded reader, so that you can review vocabulary you already know as well as learn vocabulary you don't yet know.
