Hi there.

Is it possible to say "Who celebrates?" and "Who does celebrate?"? Are both correct?

Thanks

You can say "who does celebrate" it is perfectly acceptable but normally we use "economy of words" to communicate and so the less wordy you are... the better. ;-)

We can say "Who does celebrate?" when we are contrasting the question with something else, usually negative. For example:

Julie: "You know, Jim thinks not enough people celebrate Elbonian Independence Day."

Steve: "Not enough? Who does celebrate Elbonian Independence Day?"
