Are these sentences correct please? :

-This stream is 4 metres wide.

-My dog can jump over a 4-metre-wide stream.

They are both correct.

:up: ...And, in the second case, you could just say '...four-metre stream'. (I suppose it could be taken as referring to a stream that was four metres long, but in the real world that doesn't make much sense; and the other possible interpretation - '....four metres deep' - makes no sense at all, given what a stream is.
