    Smile What is the difference

Hi, there. Will you be so kind as to explain what is the difference between "touchpad" and "glide points" . I have to translate the two words into my native language but I fail to distingush between the shades of meaning.

    Can you give more context?

    Here is the whole sentence:
"Trackballs take up less space, which can be an advantage on a cluttered desk. Other possibilities include touch pads and glide ponts where pointer motion is controlled by moving one's finger on a touch sensitive pad."

I only want to know the meaning of "glide-ponts" in order to translate it properly into Bulgarian or at least explain it.

    Re: What is the difference

This is a reasonably clear description: Touchpads or Glidepoints are a common feature on laptop PCs and are effectively miniature graphics tablets. Pointer motion is controlled by finger movement on a small touch-sensitive pad.
