    are those sentences correct?

I'm having many doubts...could u please give me your precious help?

    1. The film is about the life history of gwendoline from her birth through to the birth of Mary, his second child.

    2. The author collects the pictures taken from the beginning of THE ARTIST'S career through to the moment of publication of the book

The point is: is that correct to write "through to ...."?

3.The book contains many pictures, dating from the main caracter's birth and ending with the beginnings of his new adventure

I don't know why but it does not sound correct to me. How could I put it?

    THANKS

    ops....forgot one:

I also know this is not correct...could you help me?

This book, goes over the authorís life (and half a century of the British history), thanks to the reading of his journal which is a passionate and intimate autobiography, in which many British will find a bit of themselves.

The point is: is it correct to write "through to ...."? Yes - it indicates an overall time frame.

3.The book contains many pictures, dating from the main character's birth and ending with the beginnings of his new adventure

I don't know why but it does not sound correct to me. How could I put it? As a sentence it is perfectly correct.

    THANKS

This book cover the author’s life (and half a century of the British history), thanks to the reading of his journal (which is a passionate and intimate autobiography [would be better as "personal/intimate account"] in which many British will find a bit of themselves).

Sorry - of course it is "covers" - I was too quick and didn't read my typing properly. My error.
