    Do You Know This Saying?

I want to ask on how to state this saying correctly. I know it's familiar, so please let me know the proper version of this saying if you know. Let I state the saying in my own words:

"One who never looks back, shall not come into its destination"

I only knew the proper statement of this saying in our language but I can't translate it in English. I'm sure that this saying has an English version.

Hmmm...This is a toughie. There is this one: "He that looks not before finds himself behind." But that doesn't seem to fit what you want. You want the opposite. There's also: "If you don't know where you've been, you won't know where you're going." This is the best I can do. Perhaps someone else reading this will have his memory jogged and be able to do better.

Those who do not remember their history are dommed to repeat it.

"If you don't know where you've been, you won't know where you are going."
