    oversized heart crowded into

It didn't take a long time to see that this old man had an oversized heart crowded into that tiny body.

Please explain the highlighted group of words.

    Re: oversized heart crowded into

Look at the entire context. What went before and after this sentence?

It seems to me that it says = The old man (who is small) is generous and kind. "Oversized heart" here is a metaphor for generosity and kindness to others.
