    Smile A suitable verb is needed

    Hello dear experts,
    I'll be very greatful if you could provide an English verb used when the computer stops running suddenly but without crash in the system. It just needs restarting to continue. Can you give a sutable word that can be used in such a situation? Here is a sentence:"When I inserted the CD the computer ........" Hope you can help. Thank you in advance!
