    sentence

Hi. There is an exercise in a book. And, according to exercise I should translate sentences. So could you check it for a mistakes, please? A young engineer didn't want to talk about the machine that he has invented because he wasn't sure whether specialists will be interested in it. Do you think the sentence is ok?

    Re: sentence

In my opinion, it should be: " The young engineer (he should have been mentioned before) didn't want to talk about the machine that he had invented (the verb tense should be compatible with the former one) because he wasn't sure whether specialists would be interested in it.".
