Red face Debris from a rubber

How do we call the debris from a rubber remained on the paper after a rubber was used for erasing some wrong writing?

    Thanks.

    Re: Debris from a rubber

Good question! I don't know! I'd call it 'rubbings', but I'm sure there are afew different terms. maybe detritus.

In AmE those bits left behind are called "eraser shavings."
