    Help for 17th may

    Hi there,

    Can you please help me with the following sentences.

    1. Despite I tried my best, I failed.
    If this sentence is incorrect then why is it so. Please explain.

    2. However hard I tried, I just couldn't manage it.
    If this sentence is incorrect then why is it so. Please explain.

    1. Despite I tried my best, I failed. Despite the fact that I tried my best, I failed OR Despite trying my best, I failed OR Although I tried my best, I failed.
    If this sentence is incorrect then why is it so. Please explain. "despite" = preposition in spite of

    2. However hard I tried, I just couldn't manage it.
