    Cool Meaning for "hard-tested"

    FOund at the following sentence:

Fighting with courage and hard-tested faith, the characters of this movie negotiate their way through the unspeakeable terrain....

May it mean they have a very strong faith not easy to put downż?

    Thank You for the answers.
