    which of the two?

    the trip to Barcelona will smooth the situation away

    or

    the trip to Barcelona will smooth away the situation

    I say the correct sentence is :''the trip to Barcelona will smooth away the situation'' because i've found a similar sentence wich contains the same expression :''My mother was always there to smooth away my fears'' >>from Cambridge Dictionary.
