    all and whole

    hello everyone,
    now i have some mistake in using 'all' and 'whole',would you please help me to use them?

    The main trick, much used in tests, is the position of the definite article:
    all + the
    the + whole

    but do they mean different from each other? look loikes they have the same meaning

    They do, but you can only say 'all (of) the people'; we don't use 'whole' with plurals.
