    does it have a meaning?

    does "he had to make to do with what came" have a meaning and if so which? Thanks

    Well, I actually don't know how to explain it in other words, but I found the translation I need on the dictionary and it says "to make to do with"................
    in the sense that he had "no choice to choose between several offers" and so he had to accept what arrived

    I believe you mean to say "he had to make do with what(ever) came".

    i.e. he had to manage to get along with what came (the means available)
