    meaning

Don't wear those old clothes to work; try to look more professional.
What is the meaning of "professional" here? Or a synonym or an antonym?
    Thanks

    Re: meaning

    .
It is antonymous to the idea of 'old clothes at work'. Looking professional means wearing apparel appropriate to the profession-- often a suit and tie, but at least neat and clean.
