    She gave me one of her looks

    What does that mean? puzzled look?

    She said when her child behaves badly she starts to count to ten. "What happens when you get to ten?" I asked her. She gave me one of her looks. "I never get to ten. I give him the time to reflect"

    It's almost inexplicable!

    It usually means that the person has a facial expression that is immediately understood by friends and family to mean exasperation or boredom or disbelief that the other person can be so lacking in understanding.
