    present perfect continuous

Have you ever read this novel?
Can we use ever with present perfect continuous tense? Have you ever been reading this novel? Or we use it with the simple form?
    Thanks

ever means ever once, ever in the past on a singe ocassion.
The definition does not suggest progressive notion.
