    help for the word "admire"

    Hello teachers,
Please help me with the following examples.
    1. " I sometimes look around to admire girls".
" I used to admire many girls when I was in college & they used to get ready to go along with me".
Did I use "admire" correctly here? If not please amend these sentences.

    2. "She was used to receiving admiring glances from men".
I couldn't get exactly what this statement is trying to specify, and moreover how can we use "continious tense" after 'to' in the above statement"

    Thank You.
    Jhon.

She was wolf-whistled many times or something like that.
In 'to be used to', to is a preposition whose object is a gerund (present participle form of a verb)
