    feel like/feel as if

    would you please tell me whats the differenve between feel like and feel as if???and would write some examples too???ive got an important test in two hours and i hav ta know about that.

    I've just come back from holiday but I feel tired and depressed. I don't feel as if I've just had a holiday.

    As for me "feel like" means "wish".
    You can buy it if you feel like it.

    feel like (doing) somethng [phrasal verb] = be willing to do something, or want something:

    I feel like dancing tonight. = I want to dance tonight.
    I feel like a cup of coffee.


    feel like something [linking verb] = to give the impression or feeling that something is something else:

    The clock struck 9 but it felt like midnight.
    This jacket feels like velvet, not cotton.


    feel as if/though + clause [linking verb] = to get the impression or feeling that something is or was true:

    I felt as if something like a needle had stung me on the head.
