    Question old/oldest vs. eldest

I'm kind a confused of these sentences:

    1. Is he your oldest child? or Is he your eldest child?
    2. Is he the eldest member of your family? or Is he the oldest member of your
    family?

Kindly explain to me the difference of these sentences if there's any.

    Tnx!!!
