    Stress management/Join the battle against stress

    Are you feeling like everything is getting on top of you? Are you finding it hard to sleep? Are you feeling anxious, worried or frustrated for no apparent reason? If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, you might be under stress. I know these are/ this sounds as/ bad news but do not worry because our company is offering us a solution to remove stress from our lives.

    The psychology department has carried out a survey, which revealed that almost 80% of the employees are under stress. As a consequence of this alarming result, heads of the company decided to do something to fight stress. As it has been scientifically proved that exercise is an effective stress reliever, a great amount of money has been invested to create a sport centre that meets the employee´s needs. This centre is divided into two areas: a sports area and an exercise area. The sports area consists of a tennis and a basquetball court, a running track, and a heated swimming pool. While the exercise area is a gym fully equipped with fourteen treadmills, twenty exercise bikes and lots of training weights. Both areas are open from Monday to Friday, from 5 p.m to 9 p.m, and on Saturdays from 8 a.m to 4 p.m. So, all you have to do to keep stress at bay is choose an activity that suits your lifestyle and sustain it, and take some time to do nothing but relax.

    Of course exercise is not the only stress buster; there are also many simple things you can do everyday to cope with stress. For example, play some soft music as soon as you get up, this type of music has a soothing effect and will help you start your day with a better predisposition. Give yourself a treat such as having your favourite meal, watching a movie or going out with friends. This will help you unwind after a hard day at work. To take distance from problems by taking off at weekends can be extremely beneficial to our mental health. Also, a deep breath can aid relaxation. Lastly, avoid caffeine will help you get enough sleep.

    As you have seen, there is a diverse range of options to fight stress. But most of them, like going to the movies or taking off, involve spending money. By using the facilities our company offers, such as the sport centre or the gym, you can either avoid or relieve stress effects on the house.
