    handsome is as handsome does. what is the mean of this proverb.

    This is an idiomatic sentence pattern. But you can also use other words in this pattern, such as

    Beauty is as beauty does.
    Stupid is as stupid does.

    The expression just means your quality is revealed in your action. For example, You are beautiful when you do beautiful things. you are stupid when you do stupid things. So your sentence means you are handsome when you do handsome (good) things. that is what I understand the sentence.
