From the time a fresher joins an IT organization, the aim is to make them “billable”. By recruiting trained and certified freshers, the organization saves on training time.
Here, what does the word "billable" mean?

    Thx a lot!

    Re: Billable

A fresher is an un-billable person who learns on the job. Freshers receive a salary but any work they do for a client isn't billed to that client. The reason being, the assumption is that a fresher isn't experienced enough yet.

    Does that help?
