Question About to come OR Going to come

Is it right to say that 'He is going to come' OR 'He is about to come' is the right one. If both are right then what would be the differnce in usage.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Mahi.

Re: About to come OR Going to come

"He is about to come" implies that he will come very soon.
"He is going to come" provides no such time reference.

    Cheers

"Be going to" is usually used when something is already planned or definite.
"Be about to" refers to the immediate future. It means that smth will happen without delay.

I'm going to come.(it's already planned)

I'm about to come. (I'm on my way)

or: I was about to leave the house, when... (the leaving occurs in the very immediate future)
I was going to leave the house, when... (I had planned on that, and I would therefore soon be out).

    However:

    I'll come! (decision)
