    Talking got embarrassed

    hello guys ,


    when can i use for example , i was here or i were here


    what's the difference between was and were . when can i use was while speaking and when can i use were while speaking


    cause yesterday i got embarrassed lol . i was talking with a native english speaker a friend of mine showed up i told him you wasn't therei felt it's wrong and had to say you weren't there

    somebody help me plz
