Smile What is the difference between sentence and clause

I have studied the conjunction today. The definition of the conjunction is the following: The conjunction is a word that connects sentences, clauses or words with the same syntactical function. Now my question is the following: what is the difference between sentence and clause? Please exemplify your answers with examples.

    thank you in advance,
    Madox

It's well worth consulting the Grammar Glossary: https://www.usingenglish.com/glossary/clause.html
