What type of this sentence is?

What can Freddy be doing all this time?

Could you tell me what type of sentence is this? i.e. `simple present progressive' or `simple past progressive' or `future progressive'.

Also, I wonder, whether it is a `Passive voice' or an `Active voice'.

    Please help me.

I think it's present simple progressive and it's active voice NOT passive because the subject is Feddy.

Re: What type of this sentence is?

Is the `doing' is a `Gerund' ? or Is it a main verb?

I know, if the `doing' is a gerund, then the `can' is an auxiliary verb and the `be' is a main verb in this sentence.

If the `doing' is a main verb, then the `can' and `be' is an auxiliary verb and the `doing' is a present participle which would be a main verb.

    Please help me on this.

Both 'can' and 'be' are auxiliary here - can as a modal verb, be - for the continuous form and the notional verb is ' (to) do'

    Thank you.
Could you provide me with some more examples of `can be doing'?
