    behaviour

    Hi All,

Please suggest whether I need an 'a' before the 'behaviour' in the following sentence.

'The birthday bash may sound like a behaviour that has come to signify a bubble'

    Thanks,

    MG.

    Unhappy Re: behaviour

It's impossible for me to get hold of that sentence, I'm afraid.

    Re: behaviour

A birthday party is not a behavior but an event.

While a behavior is not usual, it is certainly not impossible. However, before using a word or phrase you should make sure it makes sense in the context in which you wnat to use it. In the sentence in question, behaviour makes no sense.
