Cool Colloquial expressions from Britain - (mocking phrases)

    Dear teachers:

Do you have any idea where these crude expressions originate and what was their original meaning?

    Yours sincerely,

Pulling my leg- I have read that this could refer to literally tripping someone up and someone has suggested that it refers to pulling the legs of someone after they have been hanged to check that they are dead.

I don't know the others, I am afraid.

Yup. Also, if you're dumb enough to have your piss taken, they can take anything, can't they?
