    Good evening Teacher,

    Could you please be as kind as to explain how come a person says (an hour) if an is only used in front of a vowel a e i o u.I think this is one of the best websites,and I enjoy it going onto this website, because there is so much to learn, and it is very easy to understand.

    hı,as you know 'an' is used before vowels but we use 'an' before hour.when you pronounce the word 'hour' the fırst letter ıs a vowel.so ıt is a rule ın englısh that an ıs used before 'hour'.
