    Cool Almost to a person

Please, I'll be very grateful if you can tell me the meaning of "Almost to a person".

I've found it in the following sentence:

"Almost to a person, these impromptu readers are not only unembarrased but delighted by what they read."

    Thank You for your help.

    Re: Almost to a person

    Hello Puzzle,

    No, unfortunately: that wouldn't work!

    But you could say:

    1. "Almost every one of these impromptu readers is not only unembarrassed but delighted by what they read."

("They" here means "he or she".)

    Best wishes,

    MrP
