    Magazines

    Dear Teachers,

    1. Every morning she has to take a bath for her grandmom and read magazines for her to listen to.
    - Is this sentence grammatical?

    Thanks a million!

    Re: Magazines

"Take a bath" means to bathe oneself. If she's bathing the grandmother, it should be "she has to give her grandmother a bath" or "bathe her grandmother." (Of course, it could be that she's taking a bath herself because the grandmother insists on cleanliness.:))

"Read magazine for her to listen to" is okay, although there are some who would object to ending the sentence with a preposition, and it does sound a bit awkward. You could say, "read magazines aloud to her," or even just "read magazines to her" since "reading to" implies that it's being done out loud.
