How to understand grammar in this sentense?

"Among those inspired to become a green-tea drinker is Tess Ghilaga, a New York writer."

Does it mean: "Among people, who inspired to become a green-tea drinker is Tess Ghilaga, a New Your writer." ?

I understand the meaning, but I'm juz confusing why "those" can be used there?

Please masters, can you help me?

Amongst those [people who have been] inspired to become...

There is an ellipsis - the missing phrase is understood from the context.

    Why dont we write it:
"Among those have been inspired to become a green-tea drinker is Tess Ghilaga, a New York writer."
    or
"Among those been inspired to become a green-tea drinker is Tess Ghilaga, a New York writer."

Can you please give me more example about that ellipsis Anglika?

Re: How to understand grammar in this sentense?

In the context of these sentences you need "who". The collocation is "those people who" with "people" being omitted but understood from context.

Those [people/students] who question the expert may receive short shrift
Those [people] who read comics never learn good English
Those [people] who are seriously ill need medical care.

    Other examples of ellipsis:

He is as tall as his brother [is]

She runs as fast as her sister [does/can]

Those [films] are Hollywood's best examples
