I've never seen or heard that word. Can you give the context in which you read it/heard it?

It seems to be an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment.

    Re: What does Moodle mean?

I was in charge of a web-course of English for adult students last year, and it was done in Moodle ( a web-platform designed for interaction between students and teacher, with discussion forum, place for curriculum, lesson plans, tests, feedback from the teacher and so on. Very effective and appreciated especially by those who combine work with studies, since they don't have time for after-work school. The students did their assignments on a weekly basis, on the platform and according to the schedule. We had Englísh classes on the net, in other words.

"a web-platform designed for interaction between students and teacher"

Its exactly that. My university used to provide all extra-class contents throught Blackboard(tm) but now they migrated to this "Moodle", but I couldn't find this word on any dictionary (online or not) that I know about.

    Re: What does Moodle mean?

I'm not a teacher, so please consider any advice I give in that context.
