    from the other day?

I am confused between these two words "make up" and "makeup". Supposed on the day of the test, I didn't show up to take the test with my class. The next day I returned to school and I wanted to take the test that I missed from the other day. So how do I say to the teacher?

    Please help me.

    Re: from the other day?

make up, vb. to do something because you did not have the opportunity to do it previously.

Ex: I want to make up the test. <verb>
    Ex: I want a make-up test. <adjective>

Ex: No students will be given the chance to make up a make-up test.
