    is the sentence dangling

Having assessed the performance of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (MS SSIS) in integrating data from disparate sources in the NL Cognos system, it is evident that MS SSIS should be adequate for our needs.

Is this sentence dangling? If so can anyone help me in restructuring the sentence

    Re: is the sentence dangling

Yikes - it's quite a sentence. What is dangling is that who assessed the performance should immiately follow that clause.

    In a shorter form:
Having assessed the performance of MS SSIS, I have (or the team has, etc.) determined...

    Here's another suggestion:
I have/The team has/We have assessed the performance of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (MS SSIS) in integrating data from disparate sources in the NL Cognos system, and I/we/they have determined that MSS SSIS should be adequate for our needs.

I agree with Barb_D's suggestions. The participle phrase is too long and so its subject gets lost in the trail. The subject, by the way, is implied:

Ex: Having assessed the performance ... , it is evident (to me) that MS SSIS should be adequate for our needs.

    _____________
    Suggested Correction
Having assessed the performance of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (MS SSIS) by integrating data from disparate sources in the NL Cognos system, ...
