    Smile is it right

one of my friend say that he is learning English in his own way of talking before mirror. is it the right way? if yes, how should we speak before mirror?

read a conversation once and talk it?

create own examples for grammer and talk it?

do you think the confident of learning will increase while we are doing like this?

Let me know if any of you experienced it and please share your exp

i would be happy if you will correct my qutoe too

    thanks a lot

    Re: is it right

Speaking in front of a mirror can be useful ecause you can watch four face and see how your mouth is working, but it's more useful for this when you are practising sounds. Reading a text aloud is not a very useful way to practise speaking as it is unnatural. Try speaking without paper.

What is speaking with paper? You are going to write your thoughts and then practice saying it aloud?

    Re: is it right

It was a mistake- I meant 'without'; speak naturally and don't read texts aloud.

    Re: is it right

It's fun to talk to yourself in front of the mirror. As what Tdol said, do it without paper or any copy, but talk to yourself assuming that it's another person you are talking to. Talk to him about any topic you want to talk about at that moment. You could think of a lot the time you do it more often. One good thing also is that you could check how you appear while talking.

This will boost your confidence bacause you are not afraid of talking to yourself, are you? You will be comfortable in speaking more and you can always take your words back and correct them yourself.

    I hope this helps. Enjoy
