    clearification

    l wish to know, which of the months does SUMMER starts and which month does it end, especially in South Africa.

    Here is what I found:

    Over much of South Africa, summer starts on mid-October and ends on mid-February.....

    1...The word is clarification; there is no "e" there.
    2...in mid October, February,etc; not on.

    Thank you for correcting me. If I had thought of the phrase "in the middle of" I wouldn`t have made that mistake, but I didn`t .[is this sentence correct? I mean, the last verb in the past tense simple.]

    The tense is fine, and what I think you meant to say was but I didn't think of it. Omitting the underlined part results in the meaning but I didn't make that mistake.
