Exclamation Before I go any further

    Hi teachers, how are you?

I would like to know if I can use the expression "Before I go any further, blablabla" to start an e-mail ?

    Thanks in advance,

    André P

Re: Before I go any further

This is just an opinion, but I would find it an odd start. If you say "any further" it sounds like you have already gone at least part of the way (in your description, request, whatever). This could be used to start an e-mail that is simply one in a string of e-mails exchanged on the same topic already, though.
