    Re: distributor and reseller

A distributor is someone who markets or sells merchandise, especially a wholesaler.
A reseller is someone who sells a product or service to the public or an end user, especially an authorized dealer.

You can assume that a distributer sells something to a reseller, and a reseller sells something to you.

    Re: distributor and reseller

A distributor is an authorized representative of a manufacturer that sells the manufacturer's products. Most large companies do not sell directly to the consumer; for example, if you want to buy a Goodyear tire, you can't buy one from the factory, you must go to a Goodyear distributor.

A reseller is an independent broker who purchases merchandise from a distributor and then sells it for profit to someone else.
