    Lightbulb why an before NPR

I like listening NPR program online. There is a separate player window. I see "Become an NPR sponsor", why do people use an before N?

Use a before consonant sounds, and an before vowel sounds.

The letter <N>, when pronounced, begins with a vowel, the vowel in bed.

    Does that help?
