    until after then/ until then

Yesterday I waited for you till midnight at your house, but you didn't seem to get in until after then.
Yesterday I waited for you till midnight at your house, but you didn't seem to get in until then.

Could anyone tell me the difference between "until after then" and "until then"?

    Please help me.

Re: until after then/ until then

In the first one, the person arrived after midnight, in the second the person arrived at midnight.

    Thank you Anglika.
I wonder whether in the first sentence there is a possibility that the person may not get in throughout the night.

    Am I right?

    Please help me.

You would then say "you didn't seem to get in at all" OR "you didn't seem to get in all night".
