    Blackle

    Some guys (not in this forum) asked me about the new search engine "blackle". Personally I find it more effective and I thaught there may be some members here who've not heard of it yet. Try it. You'll save much time.

    It is a version of Google that's designed to save energy.

    Google released this after they realised that it takes more energy to show a white screen than it does to show a black one. The sheer amount of users that Google has means that these energy savings add up to being quite substantial (at the time of writing, they have 'saved' 170,658.751 Watt hours).

    It's called Blackle because it's a black Google.
    I'm not a teacher, so please consider any advice I give in that context.

    Blackle actually uses more energy on an LCD monitor than Google does.
