    I was all over the bed.

    Please could you explain to me the meaning of I was all over the bed.

    e.g.
    I broke up with Paul last night and I was all over the bed the whole night.

    Without context or background, that "I" was crying all night and threshing about in the bed OR that "I" was luxuriating in having the bed all to herself.

    I'm not very familiar with this phrase, it sounds like this person was constantly shifting position in thir sleep because of, in this case apparently emotional, discomfort.

    And why, Anglika do you assume that the subject is female?
