    are right these sentences

    I've been practicing english and I would like to know if these sentences I've written are ok, thanks!



    1- Michael Jackson is widely believed to be a lover of plastic surgery.
    2- I bought a staggeringly expensive birthday present for my boyfriend.
    3- CDs are keenly priced at retail outlets.
    4- Our seats at the rock concert are carefully chosen.
    5- After his singularly unsuccessful previous work, his new album has become a number one.

    The first two are good, but I am not sure what keenly priced means. Perhaps:
    CDs are competitively priced at retail outlets.
    For the fourth sentence, try:
    Our seats at the rock concert were carefully chosen.
    For the fifth sentence, perhaps:
    After his singularly unsuccessful previous work, his new album has reached number one on the charts.

    Or:

    After his singularly unsuccessful previous work, his new album has become a number one seller.
