    Question Defining abbreviations

    1) I would greately appreciate help with a complete list of definitions to common abbreviations like "ex. / fx. / do. / / etc. " and their origin (ex. latin)

    2) Is there a good abbreviation that covers the meaning of connecting a general idea with a specific instance that acts as deterring example ?
In a context like the following:
"......important to focus on the endusers experience instead of strategic, corporate goals (??? Yahoo GO) ........"
