    I'm not sure if this is the word you're looking for, but in a theater and in television studios, the area where guests wait and relax before their appearance is called the "green room."

    Good question The private room is the dressing room where actors do more than dressing... I'm not convinced yet.

    The most widely accepted origin of the term dates back to Shakespearean theater. Actors would prepare for their performances in a room filled with plants and shrubs. It was believed that the moisture in the topiary (landscape gardener)was beneficial to the Actors' voices.
